The Racist, Bestselling Toothpaste Finally Gets a Rebrand — After 87 Years

One month ago I wrote an article about the prevalence of an offensive toothpaste that is #1 in many countries in Asia. Not only does it have a bad history, but it’s continued use (and popularity) of the brand always surprised me.

It shocked me even more to learn that it’s been owned by the American company Colgate-Palmolive for almost 4 decades.

It seems the BLM protests have finally made their executives take a second look at their brands — just under two weeks ago they reviewed are changing the name of the toothpaste.
